Our volunteers have just returned from this week’s Seva and were able to provide a hot meal to any individuals that require it. Despite the weather we have seen a steady flow of people visiting over the last few weeks. Those individuals who do visit us are always grateful for our efforts and appreciate what we do.
For those who have only just liked our page or is seeing this post for the first time, the background to our Seva is a group of volunteers came together in April 2016. After speaking to local organisations and charities we decided to offer a hot meal to any individuals who required it.
We are a non profitable organisation, all food is provided via donations and everyone involved is volunteers. A question we are asked each week is why do we do this? Our answer is simple, to spread the message of equality set by our Gurus. Sikhism teaches to share with others and help those with less who are in need.
Each week we see regular faces and new visitors, the feedback remains positive and we will continue to do this Seva each Wednesday at 7.00pm.
